When I first came to the Why at the Well I didn’t really know what to think of it and didn’t really take it seriously. I thought it was just some hangout place for kids. As I started coming more I developed more serious thoughts. I came to movie nights, then youth group, then to hangout and eventually I started coming 3 times a week. Ive been able to grow stronger toward Pastor Bill (youth pastor) and his wife Dana!! I am so close to them and this church that I consider them a second family to me. Pastor Bill and Dana are there for the kids whenever the kids need help (including me). I am so happy I could start coming here, it has certainly changed my life for the better!! 🙂
I feel that my life wouldn’t be on the path that it is without this center. Now I have only been there for a couple months but it still changed my life big time and I feel that it has made me closer to God and makes me feel that He is giving me that second chance that I thought would never happen.
Its a wonderful place filled with good people and a great place for good memories.
It’s a nice place to come hangout and learn about the Lord.
This is an amazing place! Everyone is open and friendly and I always look forward to coming to Solace every week. I love getting to make new friends here and talk to everyone. Everyone is supportive and easy to talk to about anything. Since coming here I have had a better connection with God. No matter what may have happened before, when I walk in the door, I am always so happy just to be there with all the great people.
Youth Group (Solace) has impacted my life in many ways. I have gained many friendships with other teens and youth leaders, as well as the pastor and his wife. I’ve even been given the opportunity to help out with different events at Why at the Well Youth Center!
This place has been serving the men and women, boy and girls of the west shore for years. With activities, laundry facilities, weight room, basketball gym, games, and bookstore (most of which is offered free of charge) this place is a gem! They help to keep kids off the street and out of trouble. They care about the families and people around them[…] everything they have they share and that is hard to come by these days.
I love this place so much it is a great way to connect God with basketball and the people that work there are very nice.
Why at the Well is my go-to place. I don’t live in the best of conditions, and when I need to get out, I come here. I love all the people here; they have helped me so much through the years. If it wasn’t for this place, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
I have made a lot of new friends; everyone is open, friendly and made me feel comfortable and welcome since day one. I love all the youth leaders; they are all nice, open, caring towards everyone, easy to talk to and are always willing to listen. It’s easy to see that they love God and sharing his love and the word of God with us. They make it easy to love learning about God
When I first started to come to [Why at the Well Youth Center], Pastor Bill was a kind person. He is [like] one my parents. He can help you with anything. You can ask him to help you with your homework. Also Pastor Bill’s wife is [like a] mother so I always call her mom. She loves kids and lets them sometimes sleepover at her house. She helps with problems we all might have. You can tell her anything. She will pray for you and what ever problem you have. It can be friends, parents , drama, any of that stuff… that is why I love Why at the Well. *edited for grammar
